“Chronicle of Ukrainian Design” is a periodical printed publication that explores graphic, product, digital design and typography. The magazine documents the history of Ukrainian design, showing how the country’s visual identity was formed and changed. The fifth issue is a landmark median of the project.
In the issue: the evolution of the design of Ukrainian money from Kyivan Rus to the present day; the identity of the largest banks — monobank, Oschadbank, PrivatBank; key figures in the creation of financial logos — Mykhailo Ageyenko and Borys Maksymov; Heorhiy Narbut, Ukrainian graphic artist, illustrator, author of the coat of arms of Ukraine (UNR), designer of the first Ukrainian state symbols (UNR banknotes and postage stamps), creator of Ukrainian fonts and a recognizable author’s style of graphics, “money” fonts and lettering, in particular Hryvnia from LevType; the design history of Zavod Shop and watch design by Oleksiy Iskos (after all, time is money); Ajax case study: the most expensive things should be safe.
